View east dowm Courtenay Place from the junction with Taranaki Street. A bus marked "lambtons" is taking on passengers beside the Taranaki Street men's toilets which are screened by a rangiora hedge and surrounded by cabage trees planted in the 1910s. Two policemen stand talking in the middle of the street, and a hording for "Fuller's Vaudiville" can be seen above the St James' Theatre. Photographed by Sydney Charles Smith about 1930
