Three satirical sketches, representing the artist's sister Isabel farewelling her fiance William Field. Top left, a tall man and a short woman embrace on a platform, while the station-master gestures towards a bell to indicate that a train is leaving. Top right, the couple stand by the ticket office, both wiping tears from their eyes, and making extravagant gestures. William Field has a case labelled Wellington at his feet. Bottom centre, the train is departing, leaving a disconsolate Isabel Hodgkins standing on the track behind it.
