Looking east along Courtenay Place, Wellington, in 1927. Looks towards the De Luxe Theatre and the houses of Mount Victoria. Majoribanks Street climbs up behind the De Luxe. The Stewart Timber & Glass Co Ltd are on the left, middle ground. Next to Stewart's is the construction site of the Todd's Building. The business of A A Stichbury and signs advertising "Lynx the suit supreme" are both left of the De Luxe. On the right hand side of the street are signs for Universal Pictures Corp and Fullers Vaudeville.
