View in the Tiki Tapu bush, near Blue Lake, Whakarewarewa, taken in October 1886 after the Mount Tarawera eruption of 10 June 1886. Taken by George Dobson Valentine. The two men in the foreground are possibly Charles Chapman and Joseph MacRae who were known to have accompanied Valentine at this time.
