Description

Two European men carrying guns and bags, a Maori man with a gun and a backback, and a dog in the foreground, making their way up a path though tree ferns, cabbage trees and ferns. Three Maori are seated on a low hill in the middle ground and there are volcanic cones in the middle ground and background.

One of the group is likely to be the artist.
