Dinner for soldiers of the First and Second Contingents, held in Dunedin on the 23rd of January, 1901, after their return from the South African War. A sign, on the left, partially obscured, reads " ...[Ho]nour to our heroes." Other signs, above the flags, name places: Johannesburg, Barberton, Pretoria, Vaal River, Hutton, etc. Photographer unidentified.
