- Description
Photograph number thirty-two in manuscript. `This is an interesting photo - on the right is a mule team man using the main road, on his own. The horse carries six 18lb shells - he dumps them anywhere and goes back, keeping under shell fire. He broke away from his team; he would have been shot, but he was caught by the M.P's under shell fire. The post is Milcot, you will note our wire running down to the rear. The dugout is an old German O.P. The corner is the road running down to the Butts. The timber was dumped at 2 a.m., the Sgt. who did it would be demoted. Note our man up watching both roads.'
