Description

Shows Governor-General Sir George Bowen holding a large number of petitions calling for the resignation of Premier Stafford's Ministry. Stafford is standing with him, leaning on the mantlepiece, advising him to ignore the petitions. Another huge stack of petitions can be seen outside the door to the left.
