Description

This photograph won photographer Ronald Fox, the Pacific Area Travel Association's award for the best tourist promotion picture of the year in 1962. Fox at that time was 24 and working for the Wellington Tourist and Publicity Department

The woman in the bathing costume in the foreground is Penny Griffith who was working on the staff of the Chateau at the time. She said that it was a stinking hot day and that she got badly sunburned.
