Caricature and full-length portrait of Ward (later Prime Minister) during his time as Minister of Railways. He is shown in top hat, black waistcoat and jacket and striped trousers, with, in the background, a train bearing a flag marked "Railway reform, N. Z. R., and a huge crowd in a railway station with posters marked "N. Z. R. reduction of fares"
