The sailing ship Victoria in Port Chalmers graving dock. Photograph taken by David Alexander De Maus probably in 1887 when she visited Port Chalmers from Germany. According to the Comber Index she left Hamburg on 30 March 1887, arriving at Port Chalmers on 15 July 1887. The name of the ship and port of ownership are visible on the stern.

The 'Victoria' was a barque pf 743 tons, built at Himmelwarden in 1884, and owned by G Eilers of Brake, Germany. See Lloyd's Register.
