The Prime Minister of Singapore is reported as saying that his country "owes an obligation to Australia and New Zealand" for providing troops for Singapore's defence. The cartoonist suggests that New Zealanders could be helped with the necessities of life, such as radios and TVs, through a charitable aid organisation, 'Singapore Help Needy NZ Society'.
