Three women grouped at the edge of a conifer forest. They are from the left; Mabel Hodgson, Jane Saunders, Hannah Ritchie. Photographed by an unknown photographer in about 1925.
Jane Saunders and Hannah Ritchie were teachers at Manchester Girls High School, and friends of the artist Frances Hodgkins.
Mabel Hodgson (Lindsey) was a maternity child welfare medical officer to Manchester Corporation at this time (identified by her son).
