Steamship Rangatira, of 4045 tons, was built in 1890 by W Gray & Co., of West Hartlepool, for Shaw, Savill & Albion Co. Sold to the Blue Star Line in 1909, and renamed Brodmore. Sunk in World War I by enemy action. See Ships with New Zealand Associations (Vol 4, p 11)
