Description

Ab class steam locomotive 662, type 4-6-2. Photograph taken at the Petone Railway Workshops in 1917 by Albert Percy Godber.

Original print in Godber Album PA1-q-102 (Vol 109, page 14)

This engine (built by A & G Price, Thames, NZ) entered service in November 1917, and was written off in October 1967. (Information from the 'Register of New Zealand Steam Locomotives 1863-1971' by W G Lloyd, 1974, page 69.)
