Jackson's Hotel

Hotel and accomodation house on Christchurch Road, next to the Taramakau River, Westland. Built by Adam Jackson in 1868 but washed away in a flood in 1872. The new hotel, Perry Range Hotel, was built further back from the river than was the original house. Upper Taranakau house was sometimes called the Junction House.
