A hut to the left with a slab chimney, firewood, a spade and a bucket outside, a net drying in the foreground. A small pond, a man on shore and two other men fishing in a boat in the water in the centre. On the right, a rata tree in flower, two low huts, possibly Maori shelters and a toitoi in flower.
Compare B-019-001 for an almost identical view. The scene is likely to be in the upper North Island.
