Description

Exterior view of the front of the Duke of Marlborough Hotel in Russell, photographed in 1908 from the waterfront. Shows a two storied wooden building, with a verandah. Signs on the ground floor windows advertise a bar and a billiard room. Two men on horseback are on the right. A group of men, women and children stand alongside the hotel.

This building was destroyed by fire in 1931.
