Description: Ewelme Cottage (14 Ayr Street, Parnell, Auckland), with a large willow tree outside, and a small child standing with a hobby-horse in the garden. Photograph taken circa 1900 by an unidentified photographer. House enlarged by enclosing parts of verandah: 1865 From back of file print: `Built by Rev Vicesimus Lush (vicar of Howick 1850-1865) & lived in by his family for almost 110 years. Named "Ewelme" after a house near Oxford owned by Lady Taunton, aunt of V L's first wife.' Ewelme Cottage was commissioned by the Reverend Vicesimus Lush (1817-1882), when he was the vicar of nearby Howick. Quantity: 1 b&w copy negative(s). Physical Description: Film negative
