Inscriptions: Photographer's title on negative - bottom left - Pataka Maketu JM 1589

This storehouse was built for Te Pokiha Taranui in the late 1870s and is now in the Auckland War Memorial Museum. (Information from The Dictionary of New Zealand Biography, Vol 1, 1990, T14, page 429b)
