Copy negative of two photographic prints of New Zealand soldiers in France, during World War I. Original photographs taken by Henry Armytage Sanders in April 1918. Copy negative made by unidentified photographer.

Top: A soldier hanging out washing pauses to watch an air fight over Courcelles on 16 April 1918.

Bottom: A field cooker within 1000 yards of the front line near Colincamps on 15 April 1918.

Other - Caption for H498: "The air fight which is interesting, one NZ [sic] does not interest the other enough to stop getting on with the washing." (Album PA1-f-091)
