Son of Henry Charles Clarke Wright (1844-1936) the photographer. Served in the South African War as a trooper with the 4th Contingent (Serial No. 1342). Later served in World War I as a horse driver with the Australian Infantry Force (serial No. 384). Died of wounds in Egypt. (Archway and Auckland Cenotaph Memorial databases.)
