View of a rock garden with plants in flower on Kapiti Island. Probably part of the well developed garden established by Utauta and Hona Webber on their property at Waiorua, Kapiti Island.
Utauta Webber (nee Parata) was the last surviving child of Wi Parata Te Kakakura Waipunaahau to live on Kapiti Island. Her father was one of the largest land owners on Kapiti. Utauta and her husband Hona farmed Waiorua-Kapiti until the late 1940s or early 50s when they retired to Paraparaumu.
