Artist. Born in Indonesia, where she spent the war years. Went to Holland in 1945. Came to New Zealand with her parents in 1952. Demonstrated an early interest in drawing and painting, being a member of an artistic family which includes Ben Vrolyk, still-life and flower painter. Exhibited at various exhibitions in New Zealand and Fiji, including Rothman's cultural foundation, 1974. Her pen and ink sketches of Wellington and Hawkes Bay, 1973-1974, self-published in Wellington in 1976. Her interests include interior decoration and home design. Employed as a colour consultant and interior advisor with a Wellington department store, and taught interior decoration at Wellington High School Evening Institute. Married to artist James C Irving.
