Dixon, Edward, 1825-1890

Cordial manufacturer of Wellington, with his son George. Ninth of eleven children. Brother of Charles Dixon (1819-1875). Married three times (1st wife, Mary Greenwood, died in 1850). Came to NZ with his 2nd wife Catherine Shepherd, and the 3 children from his 1st marriage. Edward and Catherine had 9 children (she died in 1874). In 1875 he married Amelia Esther Kemp, and they had 6 children. Edward Dixon died in 1890. Amelia married again, George Tiller (Amelia died in 1924, George Tiller died 1928).
