Samoan princesses, July 1884. Photograph taken by Alfred Burton during his cruise on the ship "Wairarapa".

Listing in "Burton Brothers/Muir & Moodie Catalogue, Volume One, Normal Series (Whole plate negatives)" printed by the Photographic Information Section, National Museum of New Zealand, 1991, reads: MM 5825 Samoan Princesses South Seas (Henderson). No negative number listed.
