Description

Programme of service, with speakers (Mayor Mr E R Neale, Association President Mr J A Harley, Mrs H D Bennet, Hon Walter Black, MLC; Mr Harry Atmore MP, Prime Minister Peter Fraser, Governor-General Sir Cyril L N Newall, Right Rev P W Stephenson), the "Hallelujah Chorus" sung by the Centennial Choir, conducted by Mr Frank Mitchell. Also contains the words of "O God, our help in ages past", and "God save the King".

The front cover shows an oval illustration of Nelson Haven in 1842, based on the painting by Charles Heaphy.
