Description: Photographs and typescript letter relating to the Captain James Cook monument at Vache Park, Chalfont St Giles, Buckinghamshire, England, ca 1949. View of the castelated canopy over the rectangular pillar on which is written the memorial. Most of the photographs record the text of the memorial. Admiral Sir Hugh Palliser was Captain James Cook's friend and patron. These photographs were aquired by Prime Minister Peter Fraser while in Britain for a Commonwealth Prime Ministers Conference. Quantity: 6 b&w original photographic print(s). 1 folder(s) containing typescript letter.
