Schramm, Bernadina Adriana, 1900-1987
Dutch pianist and teacher, Diny Schramm (née Soetermeer) married Austrian pianist Paul Schramm in 1928. Together they became renowned as a piano duo, introducing jazz into their repertoire. In the 1930s they and their son, Hans, moved to the East Indies, then in 1938 to New Zealand. Diny was founding president of the Leschitezky Association of New Zealand, taught piano at Victoria University and continued an active private teaching career until her death in 1987.
