Description: Photograph album of views of Wellington, ranging from copies of early paintings from the 1840s, and early photographs up to the 1870s, to a series of postcards from the 1920s. Most of the early images have clear descriptions, giving year made, location, and in some cases further information about buildings that can be seen. For example, one view shows Kebble's house, now the site of the Grand Opera House. Views in the postcards are identified, but no dates are given. Description: Shows existing ground floor and first floor plans of a two-storey building. Also shows a partially cut-away elevation and a section on AB. Collected by architect Martin Hill as part of Project 787. The Naval Artillery Volunteer Corps main building is on the corner of Taranaki and Buckle Streets. The building has a different appearance from the one shown in this plan and the plan, with its half-timbering may be for the NAVC's boating shed, the Star Boating Club building built 1894 on the waterfront.
