N class NZR 354, was built by Baldwin Locomotive Works, Philadelphia, went into service in November 1901, and was written off in March 1927. See "Register of New Zealand Railways steam locomotives, 1863-1971" by W G Lloyd, and "Cavalcade of New Zealand locomotives" by A N Palmer & W W Stewart.
