The Minister of Overseas Trade, Joe Walding, arriving at Wellington Airport on the 7th of May 1973, after a two month trip overseas. Shows him with his wife, three daughters, and members of the newly established Chinese Embassy. The Charge d'Affaires, Mr Shih Chiao-hsu is to the right of Mr Walding. Photograph taken by an unidentified Evening Post staff photographer.
