Description

View of Takapuna, looking south-east from the tower of Te Kiteroa, the home of Sir Henry Brett on Killarney Street in Takapuna. The building in the foreground (with just the roof showing) is the stables/garage of the Te Kiteroa estate, and the paddock behind was also owned by the Brett's. Hurstmere Road follows the line of the hedge in the foreground. The suburb of Hauraki is in the middle distance. Photograph taken circa 1910s, possibly later (but before 1924), by F A Hargreaves.
