Bulldozer driver Peter O'Conner being rescued by volunteer firemen after his bulldozer rolled, Pinehaven, Upper Hutt, Wellington, 26 August, 1986. Photographs taken by Evening Post staff photographer Merv Griffiths.

Mr O'Conner was working at the top of the bank in Sierra Way, off Blue Mountains Road, at midday, when his machine rolled.
