- Description
Humorous sketch shows a man, naked except for a towel draped over his lower torso, reclining on a bed of ice, while a turbaned attendant at left waters him with a hose. At the right a circular fan blows cool air onto him, while another attendant seated on the floor at then right, operated an overhead fan blind that swings back and forth over the head of the reclining man, who puffs on a hookah, and holds a glass of cool champagne; the bottle is in an icebucket on his bedside table. Palm trees can be seen through a window at the far right.
This is dated from a similar sketch at E-291-q-010, "Heaven" in Mesopotamia, dated 1916.
