Women shoppers walking through the showroom of the Drapery and General Importing Company (DIC) department store on Lambton Quay, Wellington. Shows display mannequins wearing ladies fashion items, including coats, dresses, and shoes. There are also cabinet displays and racks of clothing items. Photograph taken in July 1956, by Edward Percival Christensen.
Other - Note on back of file print reads: "Showroom of the D.I.C., Lambton Quay, Wellington, where the latest fashions are displayed. Mainly manufactured in New Zealand, from patterns from world famous fahion hosues, the range also includes a limited number of imported models."
