Unidentified ceremony outside the Te Whai-a-te-Motu meeting house at the Mataatua, circa 1910. In the foreground, seated alongside the carved figure on the meeting house porch pole, are Tutakangahau (left), and Hekerangi.
Most are dressed in a mixture of European and Maori clothing. Two men leading the ceremony are wearing kahu huruhuru (feather cloaks). Photograph taken by Thomas Pringle.
