Source of descriptive information - From back of fileprint: `1 January 1908. Nimrod leaving Lyttelton Harbour for Antarctic. Has just been taken under tow by the `Koonya' which towed it to the Antarctic to save coal. Ship on left is the `Powerful', the flagship of the Australasian Squadron which with the `Pegasus' and the 'Progress' farewelled the Expedition at Lyttelton Heads.'
