A pamphlet with a message from Frederick A Bennett, Bishop of Aotearoa, praising New Zealand's contribution to the second world war, but lamenting the amount of sugar used in brewing, the amount of absenteeism, beer consumed, and broken homes. There is a particvluar focus on liquor consumption in the King Country, an exhortation from Sir Robert Stout and, a petition from the chiefs of the Maniapoto (King Country) tribes, to put some protection in place against sellers of alcohol to Maori.
