Shows canoes being beached on the bank of the Waitaki River and Te Wharekorari seated in the right foreground.
Te Wharekorari is also drawn in the same sketchbook at E-333-039. He was an informant about the names of South Canterbury lakes and rivers. See E-333-038 for his map of Lake Ohau and nearby rivers
