This cartoon features Opposition Leader Muldoon at his desk organising campaign details for the election. Behind him is a picture of a man walking through the mud at low tide at Tamaki. Deputy Jack Marshall is leaning on his desk reading a newspaper account of Margaret Thatcher winning the British Tory Party leadership from Edward Heath. He comments to a scowling Muldoon that he is glad Muldoon wasn't a woman because losing the party leadership to a woman would be particularly embarrassing
