Anaphora of our Lady, Mary, mother of God [opening phrase of text]

Earlier work suggested the text was a Treatise on the Lord's Supper, thought to be the work of a Coptic priest, Abyssinia

More recent work identifies the language as Ge'ez, a language from Eastern Ethiopia. Translation provided in October 2012 of first page "The anaphora of our Lady, Mary, mother of God, which Abba Heriakos Episcopes of the country of Bihinsa [thought to be in Egypt] composed for her, may his holy blessing be with Gebre medihin [lit: servant of the Saviour, but could also be Gebre Medihin, the scribe or person who commissioned the writing of the text] unto the world to end (ages of ages) Amen. My heart proclaim a good uttereance, my heart proclaim a good utterance, my heart proclaim a good utterance [adopted from Psalms of David 45:1], and I speak of the anaphora of Mary, not at length but briefly, and speak of the praise of the Virgin not in many words that bring disregard, but in short, and I speak of the adoration of the Virgin." Translation provided in October 2012 of the final page "...and power to You, while we praise You we shall not rest, we declare in our hearts Your kingdom which was declared to us by You and your beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom be glory and authority to You until the ages of ages, for ever, Amen. O my Lord Jesus Christ, protect me, your servant, from the suffering of the flesh and soul."
