Description: Shows the parliamentary debating chamber with the cartoonist accused by M.P. F Hackett of producing an anti-British, pro-American cartoon, "Fair cow" (August 1950 in Auckland Herald). Walter Nash declares it to be Anti-Davis-Cup; Peter Fraser says "Fella cheats at cartoons"; Sid Holland sleeps; Mabel HOward says "Disgusting!", and others also comment. The "Fair cow" cartoon contrasted the success of Australia in obtaining a $100 million loan and the Davis Cup from the United States, with the United Kingdom's refusal to increase the price paid to New Zealand for dairy products.
