Description

This cartoon is set in a fish and chip shop, which has posters of Greece and a price list on the wall. A man is angrily cooking fish and chips while listening to a transistor radio. One customer has a chip basket on his head and chips are scattered on the floor. He is explaining to another man who has come in, smoking a cigarette and carrying a flagon of beer in a paper bag, with the words that form the title of the cartoon. A small boy is watching and another man is about to enter the shop. It is clear from the cartoon that the fish and chip shop proprietor had previously wrongly believed that he had won a lot of money at the races
