Description

Flier printed on both sides. The programme lists the films to be shown at an 8 pm screening:

1 (a) "Snow-White"

1 (b) "Felix all puzzled" (this was released in 1925)

2 (a) "The Young People's news reel" - with Kingsford Smith; model aeroplanes; trick-pony riding; "Rajah" the wonder dog from Methven; surf-club competitions

2 (b) Charles Chaplin in "The adventurer"

3. "Otago", Part I - penguins on the Catlins Coast; the lakes and mountains of Eglinton Valley

4. "Grass" - great geographical drama of a nation's struggle for grass - and life. Photography by Ernest Schoedsack of "King Kong" fame [released 1933] (re the Bakhtiari tribe of Persia - this film was released in 1924)

Also advertises the Stirling Stamp Company of 177 Manchester Street Christchurch, and Turners Ltd, printers at the corner of Colombo & Tuam Streets Christchurch.

Although some of the films shown were released in the early 1920s, "King Kong" (with photographer Ernest Schoedsack) is mentioned and this was not released until 1933.
