Description

The Wellington and Manawatu Rugby teams on the field, engaged in a line-out at a local game, at Athletic Park, Wellington. One player is commenting on the lack of atmosphere compared with the tension engendered by the chanting protestors, the police presence and the barbed wire during the then current 1981 Springbok Tour.

Extended Title - "Somehow this doesn't seem to have the big match atmosphere - I miss the distant chant of 2-4-6-8, the rows of policemen, the barbed wire...."
