The palisades of Motuopuhi Pā [Motuapuhi/Motupoi], near Tongariro, on Lake Rotoaira. Compare the Library's finished watercolour of the same scene 'Motupoi Pa'; also the lithograph in Angas' The New Zealanders illustrated. Plate 32, p. 75.

Appears to have been in the Angas album at page 37, under an earlier numbering system.
