A giant hand, labelled 'Olympic Games Selectors', is throwing the five rings of the Olympics like quoits around an equestrian, a gymnast, a cyclist, a hockey player, a weightlifter, a boxer, swimmers, a runner and a rower. The cartoon refers to the selections for the New Zealand team which competed at the 1964 Olympics in Tokyo.
