Reverse side of photograph has the following inscription "Now preserved in Savage mausoleum. The watch was originally owned by Prime Minister Savage's paternal grandfather Richard Savage at Waterask, Dundrum, County Down, Ireland. The watch-guard was made of the brown hair of Mrs Cain, formerly Rose Savage, after her death in childbirth. She was a sister of Prime Minister Savage
