Comprises typescript account from letters in which Armstrong describes her and her husband, Allen's, arrival at Auckland on the RMS `Akaroa' in 1946. She writes of the crowds, customs, Auckland, the conditions in NZ after the war, a journey to Wellington (which she describes), to the Hawke's Bay, farming, sport and other matters.
